This is Borka
Hello! We are the Borka family - Borka Maja, Borka Gustav, Borka Carl and Borka Christer.
Borka was founded as a family business with a simple but important idea: to let the next generation grow into entrepreneurship. For me, Borka Christer, it felt natural to bring my children along for the journey.
I previously ran Borka Sport AB for about 20 years. The company was one of Sweden's largest skateboard distributors and worked with the American brand Santa Cruz, among other things. During that time, we started designing and selling slippers, first under Santa Cruz, and later under our own name: Borka.
Our much-requested Flame Slipper was first produced in the late 1900s and quickly became a favorite. After a period of hiatus, we have now finally found a new supplier in Portugal who lives up to our high quality standards. It feels great to be able to resume production - together, as a family.
Over the years we have created several models that many still remember. We will most likely dust off more old classics in the future. We hope that those of you who have followed us before have been looking forward to them as much as we have, and that those of you who are new to us will appreciate our slippers just as much.
Back in the 90s, Christer was probably one of the first in Sweden to design slippers in colors other than black, brown and white, something that stood out at the time. Challenging the obvious and doing things our way has always been part of Borka's DNA.
We have been waiting for a long time.
